PDF Redaction Checker

A redaction that only draws a black box over words looks finished, but the words are still in the file. Copy and paste, search, or a text extractor will reveal them. It is one of the most common ways confidential information leaks from court filings and document productions. This checker renders every page and compares each piece of text in the file with what is actually visible. Text that exists in the file but cannot be seen, because it sits under a box or shape, is white on white, or is otherwise invisible, is listed with its page number so you can see exactly what would leak.
